The Compressor Waste Heat Recovery System captures this energy and converts it into hot water. The brazed plate heat exchanger inside the system transfers heat from the compressor oil to the secondary water circuit. When operated at full load, up to 90% of the electrical energy consumed by the compressor can be recovered as useful thermal energy.
This recovered heat can be used in facility heating systems, domestic hot water production, or other industrial applications.
Operating Principle
Kombox recovers waste heat generated during compressor operation and transforms it into hot water. The heated compressor oil flows through a brazed plate heat exchanger, transferring its heat to the water in the secondary circuit. This raises the water to the desired temperature. Up to 90% of the compressor’s consumed energy is recovered and utilized for heating purposes, resulting in energy savings and reduced carbon emissions.
