Shell & Plate heat exchangers are fully welded
products. The plates are welded using laser/TIG welding and are mounted inside
a traditional cylindrical shell. Due to their high efficiency and low cost,
they can be used for the same applications as standard heat exchangers and are
more efficient than conventional shell-and-tube types.

The Spiral Heat Exchanger is a circular heat exchanger
consisting of two spiral channels, each tightly sealed to ensure fluid
tightness. Thanks to its counterflow design, it delivers excellent performance
in applications where fluid temperatures are very close to each other. Its
structure allows one circuit to handle fluids with particles or fibers, while
the other can use standard media.

Maintenance
Accessing the heat transfer surfaces of spiral heat
exchangers is very easy. Both closed spiral channels can be accessed by simply
opening the side covers—without the need for any special tools. By opening just
one side cover, full access is provided to the heat transfer surface of one of
the circuits, allowing cleaning without contacting the other fluid circuit. The
side covers are hinged and can be opened without lifting equipment.
As an extra feature, specially designed connection ports
allow in-place (CIP) cleaning without dismantling the system.
The gaskets on the side covers are designed for long-term use. Unlike a single
full-face gasket that covers the entire side cover, Tanpera’s
solution features replaceable edge gaskets that reduce wear and can be
changed easily when needed.
No application or duty for a spiral heat exchanger is exactly the same.
Therefore, Sondex spiral heat exchangers are always custom-designed
based on the customer’s conditions and needs.
Thanks to its compact structure, the spiral heat exchanger requires
significantly less installation space compared to conventional heat exchangers.
This allows for more efficient use of valuable production areas in the
facility.
